Who you are working with
TBDesigned is me.
Not a faceless agency.
I run development at Jacob Tyler, a brand and digital agency, where I build and ship sites for national brands. TBDesigned is where I do that same standard of work directly for smaller companies, without the agency overhead attached to it.
Most business problems are not design problems. They are process problems wearing a design problem's clothes. Somebody is doing something manually forty times a week that should happen by itself. A form goes nowhere. A phone rings out. The website looks fine and converts nobody. I like finding that thing and fixing it, and I am usually more interested in whether something works than whether it wins an award.
The one I am proudest of
They had no software team. So I built one.
In 2018 Hensel Phelps hired their first ever developer. That was me. They were a six billion dollar a year construction company running on spreadsheets, email threads and institutional memory, with nobody inside the building who wrote software.
I started their internal development team and built their intranet from nothing. It became the thing thousands of people opened every morning to actually do their jobs. Not a brochure site. The system the company ran on.
That experience is the reason I care more about whether a thing works than whether it looks clever, and it is why I am comfortable being the only technical person in the room.

Four things you can hold me to.
I will tell you not to buy something
There are places on this site where I say a service is not worth it yet. That is not a technique. If you do not need it, you do not need it.
You own everything, always
Your domain, your content, your build. If you ever leave, every file gets handed over. I do not rent websites and I do not switch them off.
Built to be maintained
Most small business sites die eighteen months after launch because nobody owns them. I would rather stay on the hook than hand you a zip file and vanish.
You deal with me
No account manager relaying messages to a developer you never meet. The person you talk to is the person writing the code.

The free growth audit is a real audit, not a sales call with a PDF attached. If there is nothing worth chasing on your site, I will tell you that and leave you alone.
